"House On A Hill"

An old abandoned house sitting on a hill in Seven Mile Ford, Va. This house sits on property that was once part of the Aspenvale Plantation owned by Gen. William Campbell (1745-1781) who fought in the battle of Kings Mtn. An old family cemetery nearby is said to be the only remaining remnants of the plantation.

"Under the Bridge"

Fox Valley Rd. passes under the railroad here in Smyth County, Va., near Seven Mile Ford. To the left and out of sight is more of the trestle crossing a creek.
