"Once Upon A Time"
This is the corn crib at the Ephraim Bales Place on Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. The Bales family lived here on 70+ acres, from 1890 until 1930. Soon after this area became the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the farm still stands much as it must have been like ..... once upon a time.

"Elk in the Smokies"
A bull Elk guarding his harem in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There were around 20 cows and calves but he has his eye on the 8 younger bulls across the way that were keeping their distance but keeping up. Near Cherokee, N.C.
