"A Tree @ Rankin Bottoms"

A tree at Rankin Wildlife Management Area near Newport, Tn. last Sunday. This tree is for the most part, dead, and the road from which I took this photo is usually underwater, at the bottom of Douglas Lake. Could this be why some folks refer to this place as Rankin 'Bottoms'?

Found a nice little mill today tucked away in the hills near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Blowing Cave Mill, on Blowing Cave Rd. in Sevier County, Tn.

"Linn Cove Viaduct"

The late afternoon shadows took a lot away from this shot as well as shooting into a setting sun that completely washed out the clear blue sky, but you can still 'feel' the beauty here at Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway, in North Carolina.

A one of a kind tree! Or is it three? This can be found at the Julian Price Memorial Park picnic area on the Blue Ridge Parkway between Grandfather Mountain and Blowing Rock, N.C.

Some Fall color clinging to the side of an old abandoned house on Main St. in Rogersville, Tn. This is some kind of vine, not sure what.

This is one of the South's famed See Rock City barns from days gone by. A little hard to see for the brush and trees but the end of this barn says "See 7 States from Rock City". This barn is still standing on East Main Street on the outskirts of town, in Rogersville, Tn.

With all the recent rain there is a lot of water flowing here! The lower of three falls at Waterfalls Park in Newland, N.C. And it is starting to look like 'Fall'!
